Cherry jam is the master of all the jam. The most delicious.
Spread on toast it will marvell your breakfast or just heaven spooned over thick yogurt.
Ingredients
1kg cherries, pitted
3 lemon juices
1kg sugar
It is easy to stone the cherries by using a stoner. The job could be quite fidly.
It is best to do it over a sink or a bowl to not waste any juice.
Put all the ingredients in a preserving pan.
Simmer gently until the sugar is dissolved and the fruit is dissolved
Stir constantly to avoid to burn the mixture
It will take around 15-20mm.
Boil rapidly until a setting point is reached.
Leave it to cool and spoon into sterilized jars
Make 4 to 5 jars
